The State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) offers a choice of two dental care programs for full time employees. You may choose between the Dental Expense Plan or Dental Plan Organization (DPO). Participation is optional, and for those employees electing dental coverage, there is a bi-weekly payroll deduction that varies depending on the coverage selected. To change or enroll in NJ State Health Benefits Program (SHBP) dental plans, all William Paterson University Employees MUST submit Health Benefit applications online using the Benefitsolver website. Employees will have access to Benefitsolver through the myNewJersey portal; those who do not have a myNewJersey account must create one in order to access Benefitsolver. The State of NJ has discontinued the use of paper forms to process enrollment or changes to dental benefit plans. Effective Date of Coverage - Coverage is effective immediately for ten-month employees with a September 1 date of hire. Coverage is effective two (2) months after the date of hire for all other employees.
