Why you should apply:
Q: When do you hire? A: We hire students for open positions each year, usually in October and April. During our hiring periods, you can find detailed job descriptions and submit your application on the HR Student Jobs website.
Q: What does the hiring process look like? A: All interested individuals should complete the official application, attaching a resume and answering our supplemental application questions. Applications will be reviewed, and qualified candidates will be contacted to participate in an interview (virtual or in-person depending on availability). Offer letters will be mailed out and all new employees will be required to complete the mandatory human resources and payroll forms.Attend staff training prior to the first day of classes.
Q: What are you looking for in a candidate? A: We are looking for students who are excited to join a hardworking team and want to contribute their skills and knowledge to make the job atmosphere a better place. We are a close-knit group and we are looking for energetic, outgoing people to join our UC Operations staff family!

University Commons Operations INFORMATION DESK/ARCADE/OFFICE STAFF ASSISTANT
Administrative:
Under the supervision and training of the Manager of University Commons Operations, coordinates all duties related to the Student Center Information Desk/UC Arcade/Suite 116 Main Office and supports the University’s objectives of promoting campus life.
General Responsibilities:
Responsible for serving as member of the reception staff providing timely, polite and courteous customer service to members of the campus community and visitors to the University.
Specific Responsibilities:
Answers the phone and greets visitors in a polite and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
The Staff Assistant must be a student in good standing at William Paterson University with a GPA of 2.5 or higher who exemplifies maturity, has some experience working in a visible position in a high traffic environment.
